2. How we collect your information

We collect your information when you use our mobile application to place an order or use the services provided on our platform. To be able to optimize and enhance the customer experience, we will look into how the user navigates and behaves on our platform. The type of information we will collect are;

  • When you create an account with us or modify your account details

  • When you place an order through our platform (including the payment and delivery)

  • When you contact us directly via the in-app chat function, contact us box, email and/or phone

3. Information we collect from you

It is immensely important to us that our users and customers clearly know how we are collecting the sorts of information and how important their privacy is to us.

To be able to use ASAPP-APP, you must first make an account and register. To do so, you are asked to provide us with some information like your name, email, phone number, order details and payment information like credit card and debit card information.

 

We will also be collecting information on your usage of our platform and how often you use our services and what your habits are. We will also be collecting information based from any messages you post via our platform or when you contact us via phone, email, letter or chat function. If you contact us via phone, please be informed that we may be recording the call for training and service improvements. 

We may allow you to “register” with us to create an account or profile within the Service, in order to use some or all of the features of certain products In the registration process you may be required to provide the following information: 

  • Your first and last names

  • Your email address

  •  Service password

  • Other information including mobile device IDs that helps us confirm that it is you accessing 

  • Address

  • Location information

We will also collect technical information from your mobile device like its operating system, the type of device and other technical information that we will collect include, carrier, location data and performance data such as mobile payment methods, and use of offers and promo codes. Unless your location services has been turned off and you have elected to remain anonymous through the settings on your mobile device, the information may be collected and used via the ASAPP-APP mobile application.

4. Use of your Information

We will only process and collect data about you if there is a reason for us to do so, and if the reason is permitted under the data protection laws of the State of Qatar. To process your information, we will use a lawful basis in order to do so; if we need to process your information to be able to provide you with the service you have requested, we have your consent and also have a justifiable reason for processing your data.

In order to provide you with the service that you have requested by registering to our mobile application, we use your information for;

  • To allow you to get access to relevant parts of the mobile app

  • To provide you with the services that you have requested

  • To enable us to collect the payment from you via payment gateway solutions

  • To contact you when necessary with regards to our services, such as to resolve any issues that you may have had with your order.

With justifiable reason, we will also process data that can help us improve our service and personalize it where it will make it easier for you to place orders. Kindly find the reasons below:

  • To improve the quality of our service for our customers

  • Create content that we and/or our third party partners want to display on our platform (i.e. the pictures of the products that are showcased on our platform)

  • To help ensure that our customers have the best possible experience with our mobile application, we will enable our customer support team to help you with any complaints or suggestions you may have to enhance the experience in the most efficient manner.

  • Allow for us to contact you for your feedback on our service and how to improve it. Also to notify you when there are any significant changes on our platform like the introduction of new services or venues, layout and new features. 

  • Allow us to contact you with information about our services, new products and locations (If you wish to not receive this information, kindly inform us by contacting us via “Contact Us” on our website).

  • To analyze your activity on our platform to then develop our business and help us avoid fraud.

  • We may use any feedback and/or comments that you submit concerning our mobile application or website to be able to improve it.

  • If you have selected to turn on push notifications on the mobile application, we may then send you push notifications that are related to our services, offers and more. You can turn off push notifications by changing the settings to your preference on your mobile device.

Depending on your location and behavior on our mobile application, we will also be able to analyze data and make assumptions on what may interest you with regards to the services that we provide. This includes;

  • Tailored marketing

  • Preferred products and/or order

  • Special offers and discount

5. Direct Marketing

Where we have a justified reason to do so, we will use your information to inform you about new products, services, venues, discount/offers and more with regards to our mobile application and website that may be of interest to you based on your activity on our platform and we may contact you via phone or email to do so.

 

6. Retention of Information

Any and all information that is collected will be retained for as long as it is necessary with regards to the fulfillment of any purpose that aligns with the “Use of your Information” section above. 

To decide what the relevant retention periods of your information will be, we will abide by the following steps;

  • You have deactivated your account and no longer wish to use our services

  • Legal obligation(s) under the applicable law in the State of Qatar to retain data for a certain period of time.

  • The statute of limitations under applicable law(s)

  • Guidelines issued by relevant data protection authorities.

Otherwise, we will securely and safely delete your information where we no longer require your information for the purposes collected.

7. Disclosure of Information

The information that we collect on each user will be stored in our internal servers and databases.

Sharing information with third parties:

We will share your information with third party service providers, whom will be of the following;

  • Payment providers (including online payment providers and fraud detection) for the purpose of providing payment services to us.

  • IT service providers (including cloud providers) for the purpose of data collection and data analysis.

  • Caterer partners, who will be receiving and fulfilling your order

  • Runners, who will be delivering the items of your order to you

  • Customer support partners, who will help resolve any problems you may encounter with our services

  • Marketing and advertising partners, whom will ensure that you see the advertising that is relevant to you via phone or email, based on your activity on our platform

ASAPP-APP will take all the necessary steps to ensure that all the collected information will be safe and secured with regards to this privacy policy and will only be used adequately and/or when shared with the partners that have been stated above. 

If our business enters into a joint venture, purchased, sold and/or merged with another business entity, your information may be disclosed and/or transferred to the company in question and their new business partners, owners and/or advisors.

We may also share your information when;

  • If we are under any duty to disclose information to comply with any legal obligation provided by the State of Qatar.

  • With relevant third parties in order to prevent crime of any sort.

8.User Opt Out Permissions

Opting out of Promotional Communications

You can choose to opt out of receiving additional promotional emails from ASAAP by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in any such e-mail. Please note that once we receive your request, it may take an additional period of time for your opt-out to become effective.

Opting Out of Other Communications

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages by texting STOP to the number we send from for that particular SMS program. When we receive an opt-out message from you for SMS messages, we may send a message confirming our receipt of your opt-out.

 

9. Security

We assure you that all information that we hold is protected. We have taken immense steps to ensure that your information and data is secure and safe from any unauthorized access and/or for any unlawful processing, destruction or damage.

You are responsible for choosing and securing your password safely, in which you will need to be able to access the services provided on the mobile application. We advise you to not share your password with anyone.

Please be aware that any and all transmission of information is at your own risk as the transmission of information on the internet is not entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of all the data that is transmitted in our database. 

Please be rest assured that we will take the highest and most strict security measures to try to prevent any unauthorized access of information.

10. Your Rights

With data protection laws, you hold a number of rights with regards to the data that is collected about you. You have every right to exercise any of the rights stated below. 

  • The right to be informed. You have every right to be provided with clear and simple explanation on how we are using your information. 

  • The right of access. You hold every right to obtain access to your information that is being processed by us. This will allow you to check that we are using your information in accordance with the data protection laws.   • Although most browsers and devices accept cookies by default, their settings usually allow you to clear or decline cookies. If you disable cookies, however, some of the features of our Services may not function properly.

  • To prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics, you can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

  • To opt out of ads on Facebook that are targeted to your interests, use your Facebook settings.

  • Check your mobile device for settings that control ads based on your interactions with the applications on your device. For example, on your iOS device and Android device you can allow location tracking only once when you are using the app. Rest of the time location tracking can be kept off.
